This car commemorates Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. (PST)–the ‘Red Arrow’ lines serving Philly’s western suburbs–which ran interurban cars with some PCC features from 1949 to 1982. Vista Dome "Silver Solarium" and Sleeper "Silver Rapids" are owned by Rail Journeys West, Inc., and are operated by California Zephyr Railcar Charters. Sleeper "Silver Rapids" was a roomette-bedroom sleeper purchased by the Pennsylvania Railroad for California Zephyr thru service from California via Chicago to New York.
